Chuck says: A couple of things about this page: I really did think, when I first saw the page, that Teran was crying out because of Evan's flashlight beam. Second, I remember discussing the various "stuff" on Evan's arms and bracers and all that when I was first writing this chapter. One of us (probably Adam, I think) said, "His armor should be able to do various things." So I thought about it, and wrote it into the script here that he'd use some function on his bracer as a flashlight. Originally, I'd planned for him to use his magic to do it. This worked out better, though. Adam says: My major complaint on this panel is that, as Chuck pointed out to me, it looks like Teran's scream comes from being blinded by Evan. Curses!!!! I hope that, before reading this, people start catching on to the way I represent some of the more subtle uses of their gifts, like Evan does here.
