| Does this comic look any different to you than past comics? There are a few subtle differences. For instance, the panel borders were printed out on a sheet of paper, which I then drew on...with pencil (I usually just use my pen, skipping over that pesky penciling phase). I was doing the panel borders this way as an experiment, mostly to see if I can keep the image quality of the comic up (whenever I've done the comic in the past, I usually have to run it through MS Paint at some point to do the borders, and it adds all these nasty Jpeg "artifacts"--the fuzzy blotches around the black lines--that piss me off). By doing it this way, I was able to skip the MS Paint phase of my normal comic-making routine. However, the panels must've been printed a bit cock-eyed, because the comic slants a little bit, which annoys me. We'll try again next time and see if it works any better, or if I just go back to my old methods. |
