Working at Yellowstone wasn't quite this bad. Almost, though. And the getting passed over for promotions thing? Yeah, that was true. Clif and I were there at the end of May, and worked until the beginning of August. During that time, lots of other employees came through our dining room (we had a high turnover rate). Most of them started out as bussers, like Clif and I did. Over the course of the summer, virtually everyone else who came through (including all those who came after us) got promoted to server. I ended up getting promoted/transferred to prep cook halfway through. Clif, despite being the best damn busser/employee they had (he was faster than anyone else, better at his job, and--amazingly enough to anyone who actually knows him--more courteous than anyone else). By the end of the summer, he was still stuck at busser. On the positive side, he found out he could control the pace of the dining room, which was fun.
